The recruitment procedure involves Below stages.
Initially, applicants whose applications are deemed acceptable will be assigned a roll number and invited to participate in the first stage: a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Physical Standard Test (PST), documentation review, and trade test. These assessments will take place at multiple locations, and all candidates will undergo a Height Bar Test (HBT). Successful applicants in the Height Bar Test (HBT) will proceed to the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). This test, the PET, is divided into specific requirements for both male and female candidates. Males must complete a 1.6 kilometer run within six minutes and thirty seconds, while females are required to finish an 800 meter run in four minutes and eleven seconds. Ex-servicemen participating in the process will only need to take the PET, along with a physical screening and trade test, for the purpose of recording their height, chest circumference, and weight. Former service members won’t be required to participate in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET). Nevertheless, they must successfully complete the Trade Test, Written Examination, and Medical examination. These assessments are designed to determine eligibility, and those who fail any stage will be disqualified from the recruitment process. They will receive a rejection slip outlining the specific reasons for their elimination from the PET/PST Board, and will be ineligible to proceed further in the recruitment. Decisions made regarding the PET (race/run) are final and cannot be appealed. Individuals who successfully pass both the Height Bar Test and the Physical Efficiency Test will undergo a further assessment by a panel of officers, focusing on their height, chest measurement, and weight. The specific physical requirements for the Constable (Tradesmen) position are detailed in section 6.3, and any applicable relaxations will be granted in accordance with current Government of India directives. Waivers for height and chest measurements, if applicable, will only be granted upon presentation of the necessary documentation during the Physical Efficiency Test/Physical Standards Test, Documentation, and trade test. This documentation, following the format outlined in Annexure-VI, must be issued by the relevant authorities in the candidate’s district of residence. Scheduled Tribe candidates are eligible for this relaxation upon providing a valid, original Scheduled Tribe certificate. Candidates deemed unfit to meet the Physical Standards requirements, namely, Aspirants who wish to contest their height and chest measurements can submit an appeal to the designated Appellate Authority at the Centre, with the Presiding Officer facilitating the process. The Appellate Authority’s ruling will be conclusive, and no additional appeals or submissions will be accepted. Candidates who fail to meet the established physical requirements will be disqualified from the recruitment process and provided with a rejection notification. Candidates deemed physically fit will proceed to the Documentation stage, while those who fail to meet weight requirements will be disqualified during the medical evaluation process.
